▼ The accessory content is quite abundant. Due to the large size of the parts, the interior is divided into three layers of blister packaging. It also comes with a set of LED lights and button batteries for the head sculpt.

▼ The standard square base for the Ye Shan figures has this time been changed to match the body color scheme, in purple and silver.

▼ The main body stands about 25 cm tall. Its base design turns a haori (kimono jacket) into armor, with transparent sleeve extensions on both shoulders that make the figure look more elegant and airy. Since the motif is based on a moth, the color scheme is naturally bright white with light lavender purple as the main tones. Embossed details are highlighted with gold accents and tampo-printed patterns.

▼ The paint finish is glossy and smooth. White coatings in particular are always a big test of QC and painting craftsmanship, and for Cangdao this is both a challenge and a statement of their commitment to meeting collectors’ expectations.

▼ The moth guardian beast “Tsubaki-gami” has the same dual functionality as the other familiars: it can transform into a backpack unit or detach to operate independently. Its color scheme matches and complements the main body.

▼ The head features finely sculpted compound-eye details, and the torso carries richly designed mechanical patterns. In wingspan, the unfolded form is significantly larger than the scorpion of Aoshe and the centipede of Zhuoying, boasting an impressive spread of nearly 30 cm, giving it a commanding presence.

▼ From the familiar beast, you can detach the foldable gauntlet hook “Yōretsu”. It can be equipped directly onto the hand or mounted on the 3 mm port located on the shoulder.

▼ The design of the moth’s wings is presented with the imagery of light wings, featuring a translucent gradient that transitions into blue. The effect already brings out an ethereal and elegant feel. However, it could be even more striking if additional pearl-tone paint were applied, or if sparkle powder were infused into the molded plastic, to better capture the biological trait of “powdery scales” unique to real moths.

▼ By connecting the moth backpack to the main body through the back port, the figure can be combined into its complete form. In this mode, beam foot blades are added to the legs, instantly boosting the overall height to around 35 cm, creating an imposing giant-scale figure. This transformation elevates the piece into a truly gorgeous display centerpiece, worthy of being called a cabinet-dominating presence.

▼ In addition, an extra layer of composite armor called “Celestial Cocoon” can be equipped on the front, creating a fully armed form that combines both high-speed mobility and balanced offense and defense.

▼ The “Celestial Cocoon” armor features multiple movable clearance structures, which means it does not significantly hinder the articulation of the main body, allowing for a dynamic yet heavily armored appearance.

▼ The main weapon of the unit is the great blade “Farewell” and the long whip “Hidden Horn.” Considering the length of the blade, a replacement part for the sheathed mode is included. The scabbard and hilt are decorated with moth-like details. The whip is made from a soft wire, packaged in a coiled state; while it can be stretched for use, it’s not very convenient for displaying natural whip curves.

▼ There is a set of LED magnetic lights in both the head sculpt and chest armor. They only have a constant-on mode, with very bright illumination, and will automatically turn off after about 30–40 seconds.

▼ The head sculpt design combines insect antennae with a “Shiromuku ceremonial crown,” featuring a light and streamlined shape. The smooth eyes include compound eye detailing, and the surface is accented with a pearlescent paint finish for emphasis.

▼ The outer armor sleeves feature an articulated mechanism that allows them to open and avoid obstruction. Inside the sleeves, “beam blades” can be installed. Since the beam blades are cone-shaped, they create a rich refraction effect when illuminated.

▼ The base design of the legs gives a short and thick impression. The outer armor uses multiple inverted triangle stacks, and when the beam foot blades are attached, they create a better visual elongation effect—making it quite a clever design.

▼ The rear skirt armor gives off a strong “Sinanju thruster” vibe, though it’s installed upside down, which instead gives it the look of a bow. The thrusters also feature extendable deployment linkage.

▼ The articulation from the head to the torso is quite flexible. Despite the large head design, the head can tilt up and down about 35 degrees. The waist supports side tilts, forward bends, backward leans, and up to 45-degree lateral rotation with a locking limit. The rear waist area is filled with lobster-shell-like details. Overall, it follows the standardized articulation formula typical of Cangdao’s designs.

▼ The arms can raise horizontally up to 90 degrees, and the elbows can bend to about 120 degrees. Both the upper arm and forearm have independent swivel joints, allowing the sleeve design to transition more naturally when posing.

▼ Each of the skirt armors can be flipped upward, and the alloy hip joints feature a wide-range drop-down mechanism. This provides ample clearance for knee articulation, making a natural single-knee kneeling pose easily achievable.

▼ Although Ye Shan almost never stands with both feet flat on the ground, the ankles are still designed with standard tilting joints and forward flexion articulation.

▼ Once the familiar beast backpack is installed, the visual impact is definitely greater, but the handling difficulty also increases. For players who enjoy posing figures, Ye Shan’s spiky design might not make it the most user-friendly die-cast product. However, as the final member of the Shadow Legion, there’s really no reason not to complete the lineup.
