▼ The main body stands approximately 23cm tall and retains the same overall design as the original version. Compared to the anime setting, it features a certain degree of “reimagining,” giving the entire silhouette a more robust and rugged appearance. This design direction can be seen as laying the foundation for the stylistic evolution of the subsequent releases in the “Iron Soul” series.

▼ This reissue places greater emphasis on enhancing the metallic paintwork. The smooth and refined finish gives the edges and details a more three-dimensional and pronounced appearance.

▼ Fluorescent paint has been added to the twin eyes on the head and the facial eye area on the chest. When exposed to UV light, they emit a very noticeable glowing effect.

▼ The three interchangeable faceplates are now attached using magnets, making the replacement process much easier and more convenient. Although the facial expressions are the same as the original version, the sculpting appears more three-dimensional—likely the result of newly remade molds.

▼ The inner joint structure has been completely redesigned with entirely new molds. After improvements to the joints in the head, chest, and waist areas, the figure now supports a wide range of motion—including deep backward bends, forward crunches, and lateral twists. An additional pivot joint has been added below the waist, allowing for dynamic poses like dramatically tossing sunglasses with ease.

▼ The elbows feature a double-jointed bend, while the shoulders are equipped with lateral lift and extended forward/backward articulation. This enhanced range of motion allows the figure to pose naturally in its iconic arms-crossed stance.

▼ The knee joints now feature a double-jointed bend, with the outer thigh armor designed to move in sync, revealing painted inner mechanical details. The side skirt armor has been upgraded to ball joints, with a new 90-degree limiter to prevent paint scraping during wide leg kicks. The thighs also include internal die-cast metal frames, resulting in a much smoother and sturdier knee articulation experience compared to the original version.

▼ The feet have been upgraded with a three-segment articulation design, significantly improving overall flexibility. This enhances the ankle’s range of ground contact, allowing for more stable and dynamic posing.

▼ Once the winged backpack is attached, the overall silhouette becomes more full and visually impressive.

▼ The Full Drill Mode is the most powerful form of this figure, featuring a total of 33 drills of various sizes across the body. Except for the backpack and forehead drills, which are attached via pegs, all others are magnetically mounted. However, this mode is relatively difficult to handle, so it’s generally recommended to attach the drills after posing the figure.

▼ The standard arm drills and the “Billion-Fold Drill” are both hollow inside to make it easier for the arms to lift them. They can also be mounted on the arms at the same time.

▼ The base stand is the same as the original version, connecting to the main body via a metal rod. Compared to the latest stand design used by CCS in their recent Getter releases, the original version is a bit less convenient to handle.

▼ As the very first release in the CCS Iron Soul series, “Gurren Lagann” has long been one of the most highly requested reissues among collectors. According to publicly available information, the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann IP has been in a rather awkward transitional phase, making it particularly difficult to obtain licenses for reissues or new products.

▼ It’s been said that CCS was only able to proceed with this reissue by retaining the original design at the request of the IP holder. As a result, while the outer appearance stays true to the original version, the internal frame, joint structure, and paint applications have all been completely redesigned and retooled to meet 2025 production standards—making this a painstakingly crafted and truly heartfelt reissue.
