Toypoint Origin of the Stars Starforge Leo Constellation Version
Pictures updated.
Stay updated with the latest toy news. Toypoint released a Origin of the Stars Starforge Leo Constellation Version. Let's assess its performance through the official photos!
▼ ToyPoint’s Constellation Edition Leo was previously released as a “Shining Edition” (with a mirror finish). This new Constellation Edition is essentially a reissue aimed at expanding the product line and catering to the lower-end market.
▼It simplifies the manufacturing process and splits the product into separate versions. Currently, there are two types available: one is the Constellation Form Version (which includes only the complete constellation form), and the other is the Battle Form Version (which includes only the complete character form).
▼ Below is a brief comparison between the Constellation Edition and the earlier Shining Edition.
▼ From the box description, it’s easy to see that this “Constellation Edition” includes a full set of constellation base and constellation armor — essentially a complete constellation-form product.

▼ The previous Xingyao (Starshine) version was a full set that included the constellation base, body frame, hand parts, hair parts, and constellation armor. In contrast, the new Xingzhu (Starcast) version splits this configuration into two separate products:
▼ One version includes only the constellation form (constellation base + constellation armor).
▼ The other includes only the character form (body frame + hand parts + hair parts + constellation armor).
▼ This change serves two main purposes:
▼ Reduce production costs to make the product more accessible to a broader market.
▼ Offer more flexibility, allowing players who only want the constellation form to purchase that version directly, without having to buy a full set and separate it themselves.
▼ Ultimately, this approach gives buyers more options and helps lower the price point for those who only need specific parts.
▼ This version of the product includes almost everything except for the body frame, hair parts, hand parts, and metal feet — those components are not included.

▼ In fact, a direct comparison clearly shows that the Xingzhu (Starcast) version uses a matte finish, similar to the current Saint Cloth Myth EX style, while the Xingyao (Starshine) version features a mirror-polished finish. The texture and visual effect between the two are entirely different.

▼ In addition to the change in metal finish, there’s also a difference in the color of the electroplated plastic parts: the Xingzhu (Starcast) version features a darker, more orange-toned color, while the Xingyao (Starshine) version is lighter in comparison.

▼ The initial installation of these two backpack parts is very tight and requires a fair amount of force to snap them in. (It feels even tighter than the Starshine version.)

▼ In addition to the matte finish on the metal parts, the main difference between the Starcast version and the Starshine version lies in their visual tone. The matte surface of the Starcast version reflects less light, resulting in a deeper and more subdued overall tone. In contrast, the Starshine version features a full mirror finish, giving it higher reflectivity and making the colors appear brighter and more vibrant overall.
