Stay updated with the latest toy news. Toypoint has released a Origin of the Stars Aries Starlight Version. Let's assess its performance through the official photos!

▼ Without realizing it, we are already on the sixth release of the Stars Origin series. This Aries figure is the third in the Zodiac series. Let’s focus on the design aspects of this product.

▼ First, the part everyone is most concerned about: the face sculpt. In terms of craftsmanship, there’s no doubt it’s impressive, no complaints there. The main point of contention this time is the facial design. Both of the recent products (Ares, God of War) have faced criticism for having a younger, more childish facial style. The same applies to this Aries figure. However, the manufacturer has addressed this by introducing a new character setting: the character is now depicted as a young boy. (As for how young, there isn’t much specific information, but you could imagine a character similar to Kiki, inheriting the will of their predecessors.) So, in this case, the youthful face sculpt aligns with the character design. But from a player’s perspective, this style might still be a bit hard to accept.

▼ The overall design of both the humanoid and Zodiac forms is quite good. There aren’t any significant issues. Personally, I like the Zodiac form better, as it fits my vision of Aries more closely. Additionally, the figure comes with interchangeable parts for the horns. Both the humanoid and Zodiac forms switch between horn styles using these parts. While this design adds some highlights, it makes it difficult to ensure the parts feel fully integrated, as you can still see the seams where the pieces are swapped.

▼ Regarding the assembly, based on the sample experience, there are basically no major issues (which seems to be a consistent trait within this product series). Both the humanoid and constellation forms assemble very smoothly. However, during assembly of the humanoid form, the parts may be a bit too smooth, causing some areas to feel slightly loose during handling (such as the arm and shin armor). The tightness of the outer armor in humanoid form feels less secure compared to previous models, although it’s not a serious issue, just something that could be improved.

▼ Overall, this Aries figure from the Stars Origin series is quite solid, aside from the youthful face sculpt, which may be hard for some to accept. Everything else is up to standard, and the design and performance meet the usual expectations for this manufacturer.
