The largest-scale collaborative project between domestic model brands MJZ Studio and SUNDAY HOBBY has finally arrived at our studio:
the First Emperor – Ying Zheng Alloy Inner Frame Model Kit (Sample Version).
Inspired by China’s first emperor in history, this imposing mecha interpretation comes loaded with rich accessories, including a Great Wall–themed diorama base and the mighty Black Water Dragon.

Dragon Soul Incarnate – Ying Zheng

Standing approximately 25 cm tall, the design faithfully recreates SUNDAY HOBBY’s original concept art. Even in a neutral stance, the figure commands immense presence.
The primary color scheme of black, red, and gold is inspired by the Qin royal attire tradition of “dark upper garments and crimson lower garments.”

▼ Armor & Forms
This time, the design of the outer armor is similar to wearing clothes. You can remove the outer armor of the black bird to restore a light appearance. The head crown can choose the "Heavenly Crown" style that the King of Qin used most frequently. At this time, the back looks more mechanical.

▼ The moment of unifying the world was marked by replacing the "crown" on the head and holding the "Imperial Jade Seal".

▼ After fusing with the Black Bird, the main body can also be equipped with additional flame effect pieces. Is this probably going to burn books?

The facial sculpt portrays a stern and resolute expression, befitting the First Emperor.

The part separation and color layering are significantly improved over previous releases, making assembly smoother than expected.

▼ The legs are mainly in black and gray. There are more details of the ring-shaped armor plates of the Qin Dynasty's "stone armor" on the legs, which can also be understood as scale armor. The shape at the front of the foot incorporates the design of the head of the black bird's foot.

▼ The six tail feathers of the Xuanniao are engraved with seal-script characters representing the six conquered states:
Han, Zhao, Wei, Chu, Yan, Qi.

▼ The range of motion after armor piercing remains excellent. Even for the body of an emperor, the range of motion is still very strong.

▼ The shoulder joint can be pulled outward to achieve a greater range of horizontal elevation and arm movement.

▼ 4 pairs of interchangeable hands.

▼ There are also outward-stretching joint structures inside the side skirts, providing a greater range of movement for the legs. The hip joint has a pull-down structure, but it is relatively tight here and requires appropriate force application. The maximum grounding degree of the ankle can reach 75 degrees. Therefore, a large skirt hem won't affect the posture of kneeling on one knee, but as an emperor, one wouldn't kneel down!

Semi-gloss black finish symbolizing the Qin association with the element of Water.
Includes:
Two dragon head variants
Two cloud-pattern shoulder designs
One variant emphasizes a peach-shaped cloud motif nose design.
Assembly is repetitive due to the segmented structure connected via alloy joints.
For stability, it is recommended to support the stand under the second chest segment.

▼ The eyes of both types of faucets have a fluorescence reaction to UV lamps, and the mouth part can be slightly opened.

▼ The hands and feet are designed in the same mold. Two types of cloud-patterned shoulders can be chosen according to personal preference.

▼ The alloy joints of each trunk section provide a high degree of freedom and stability for the body, and the scales of each section can be extended.

▼ The transparent part of the breastplate can be illuminated with a UV lamp.

▼ A specialized support stand stabilizes the dragon from underneath via alloy joints.
