OneMaster: Was expecting better quality from Heat Boys, overall the figure looks good on both modes, going in between or posing the robot mode is a different thing entirely.
Pros:
- Looks Good
- Great Accesories
- Attention to detail except QC
- The included base is awesome, will reuse for other figures.
Cons:
- Paint chipping, this figure is 50% paint
- Knees are ridiculously weak, and I don't know if it was the factory or the store but someone placed the screw covers before making sure the joint was tight... Had to drill it out and destroy the cover.
- Panels don't properly align, the top of the vehicle mode is impossible to align without forcing them. Not even youtubers got it right.
- Had to remove plastic on three different pieces to make them fit as the plugs just didn't fit (I even checked with a caliper to make sure I wasn't going mad)
- Transformation is messy, not fun or intuitive. 3 different videos show 3 different ways to fit the arms inside the vehicle mode, some videos even cheated and made cuts as they likely couldn't fit anything properly at first.
From seeing the Heat Boys regular figures I was expecting a lot more QC, Having the HeatBoys HB0012 TMNT Leonardo in hand comparing it to this one, all the wrong joints are tight, the arms are ridiculous, the legs are spaghetti.
If you are going to buy this one, I recommend getting the HB0012 instead and buying a Jada Toys Turtle Party Wagon to stand next to it instead.
