DDB Model 1/60 Hyper Bazooka Upgrade Kit for PGU RX-78-2 Gundam
rico soul: it's nice that someone finally decided to make a bazooka accessory for the PGU RX-78-2. It just doesn't feel right to have the gundam without it. The price is a bit high for essentially just a glorified plastic tube and DDB quality is hit or miss but it's this is still a good option for anyone that has a PGU in need of a firepower upgrade
SNAA Model 1/100 YR-02 Emperor Series Blade King Model Kit
rico soul: Colored photos are released for this now and it looks pretty good with protagonist gundam colors of red, white, blue, and yellow.

Priced at 168RMB (~$24) before shipping, this should be a pretty affordable kit too.

I like the style with it taking obvious inspiration from Gundam Exia Repair 4, Gundam Aerial, and probably Sword Impulse gundam. Looks nice though, and SNAA is a trustworthy brand for the most part.

It's decent sized standing at 21cm head height and the first batch is scheduled to ship out before Chinese new years, though stock will be limited. More stock will come after Chinese new years
Daban PG Gundam Unleashed RX-78-3 G-3 Gundam Model Kit
rico soul: So the Daban PGU G-3 has been out in China but reviews are limited. Here's the little information I was able to dig up.

- Colors are.....not great, but we can kind of tell with the images already. The white is a bit too bright and the blue is a bit too purple and also a bit too bright. It's not quite the sick G-3 G-Rework PGU colors that everyone dreams of. Since it's purely a recolor of the runners with no different parts layout, all red parts are not this purplish blue, including the pistons. Also the LED beam saber is still the old colors so it no longer matches the G-3 grey

- Build is maybe a bit weaker than the first batch of Daban PGUs. Daban is on their 3rd batch of PGU prints and it's suspected the first batch of G-3 is roughly where that is. There already appears to be some mold degradation and the overall build is just a bit floppier than the initial prints

Overall though, for people that don't paint, this is still an alright option I guess. Personally I'd consider buying it at around $100-120, but not $150.
Fangdajing 1/35 RX-78-2 Gundam Model Kit
rico soul: So all of the information on this model so far is based on initial trial copies and things may still change in the final product. Currently the price has not been announced.

Like their previous 1/72 Zaku release, this is primarily scaled up based on the HGGTO model kit but they've made some additional tweaks.

- The majority is based on the HGGTO RX-78-2
- The shoulder, backpack, and beam saber handles also reference the MG Ver Ka
- The head, shield, and leg designs reference MG 3.0 / 1:48 Mega Size design
- More specifically, the head is based on the 1/35 Exceed Head, including the same opening gimmick
- The Core Fighter is fully realized as well and some basic hatch opening gimmicks are added to the front and rear skirts and the calves.

- LEDs are on the head, chest vents, four backpack thrusters, beam sabers, rifle sight, and the bazooka sight
- LEDs are a mix of push switches and magnetic switches currently

It is about 51cm tall head height (pictured is a comparison with the daban 1/60 Nu, the daban PGU, and the solomon GP02)
weight is roughly 2.8kg or about 5lbs
Joints are a ratcheting design for added stability

In total there are 35 runners

More news should come after Chinese new years.
rico soul: Interestingly enough, Gundamit seems to be flagging RMB and $ as "offensive or sensitive language" so I removed this from the summary post. China currently is suspecting the price of this to end up around 300-400RMB even though people are hoping for 200. Translated to US, that means we may see this around $100-$200
Hemoxian 1/10 Over Zero Tastier Model Kit Set of 3
rico soul: The special bonus has been announced as a coat. Similar to the Thor cloak, this bonus has a wire embedded inside to allow for shaping and poses. The coat comes with removable sleeve and gun holsters.

Hemoxian said that due to the overwhelming positive reception to this Tastier announcement, they will be adding an additional bonus to be announced after Chinese New Years.

The other thing I forgot to mention before what they this model kit will be utilizing some TPE parts instead of just the traditional ABS and PS plastic. The goal here is to produce more realistic biomechanical articulation as this is intended to be more of a cyborg than a mecha so some more flexibility is needed. Will be interesting to see how that turns out. It will be a soft plastic material so I know gunpla folks probably have some skepticism.

Scale: 1/10
Size: Tastier: 19.5 cm, dog: 8cm, storage base: 3cm
Material: ABS, PS, TPE
Contents: Main body (partially painted), 2x rifles, 2x handguns, 2x swords

comes with head LED unit, photoetch detail parts, and waterslide decals

Combo package set of 3 with tastier, mechanical dog, and storage platform: 188rmb
Tastier main body only: 99 rmb
mechanical dog only: 59 rmb
storage platform only: 39 rmb

Q2 2024 release
Strange Work 1/60 PG Tallgeese Model Kit
rico soul: Strange Work is the same brand as Nillson, which made a bunch of 1/60 scale Astray gundams. They also made the 1/60 scale Frosty Cat model kit which was essentially a Byakko Ryujinmaru.

This 1/60 scale model kit is called Monument, but obviously it's the Tallgeese from Gundam Wing.

Height: 30cm
Materials: ABS
Includes display base

If you look at the design, it definitely resembles they previous Frosty Cat kit aesthetically. However, the frame is fully redesigned from the ground up, with a focus on joint strength and articulation. They specifically wanted to design the kit for stability and so the backpack and shoulder equipment are redesigned to be better balanced. In other words, they made them slightly smaller so the kit would be less top and back heavy.

Aesthetically, I kind of prefer the original Bandai MG/RG Tallgeese designs with the big mechanical Dober Gun and the giant thrusters, but this still definitely has some of that goose charm, even if it does feel a bit too streamlined.

The physical photos are from an initial test print and are only for reference. The colors are not fully finalized yet. The TV Tallgeese colors looks good to me so far.

Currently, preorder price for this is in China 385 RMB without shipping, 435 RMB shipping included in China.
That should put it around 100 USD here, maybe 120 if the box is large. To give you an idea, it's pretty much the same price as the IN ERA+ Aurora but 1:60 scale with no metal frame.

More official news should come after Chinse new years but currently, people are estimating it to be available around May 2025

MSeslite119: You said May of 2025, which is next year. You mean 2024? Gundamit seems to put the estimate at 2nd quarter of 2024, but you sound pretty knowledgeable and well-informed, so just wanted to check. Looking to place a pre-order here depending on when it becomes available.

rico soul: crap, typed it wrong again. I meant May 2024. Twenty Twenty Four T_T
TBLeague 1/12 PL2024-224B Spartan Army Commander Silver Version
rico soul: These so called spartan army commanders kind of just gave me an idea. Someone should remake 300 with a gender swapped cast with these armor designs lol. equality
Motor Nuclear MNPQ-XH04 Gan Jiang Chibi Version Model Kit
SunnyShim: $50 USD isn't the worst but it isn't great. The kit is pretty great but the price point is too steep for and SD style kit for me. Maybe if it was of one of the motor nuclear characters that look even better than this one, I might shell out 50 bucks for it. Wonder how much it would've cost without a metal frame though. Seems utterly unnecessary and just raises the price substantially.
rico soul: As with all these third party kits from China, the price on gundamit includes shipping costs so that they can then claim "free shipping". Due to the relatively large size of model kit boxes, shipping is expensive due to volumetric cost and generally is still around $25 even on the low end. MSRP, on this like all motor nuclear kits, is actually very low and offers a lot of value at only 149RMB or about $20. The $50 here is including some resale markup and shipping estimates
Dadao Model 1/100 MG Gundam Akatsuki Model Kit
rico soul: Ok, this is actually pretty sick. This is a KO/reprint of the Dragon Momoko MG Akatsuki which is pretty much a grail among bootleg gundam model kits since Dragon Momoko god raided by Bandai years ago.

The original is very sought after because Bandai never made a MG Akatsuki. What Dragon Momoko did was actually take the Bandai MG Strike Gundam RM, and recreate the Akatsuki around that frame. The end result is pretty what we would have expected from a Bandai MG Akatsuki, just with the subpar build and poor fitment or bootlegs like Daban.

Still, this is one of the most sought after kit among all of Dragon Momoko kits, so it is fantastic to see someone reuse this mold and rerelease the kit.

Now this is releasing with a pretty plain cardboard box to keep things low key, but the runners themselves appears to be of decent quality. The price tag here of msrp of $54 translates relatively well from the msrp of 165RMB.

Note, the resale price on this has already started to climb a bit in the Chinese market so I wouldn't be surprised to see gundamit jack up the price on this too. Again, expect the fit and finish to be similar to Daban quality and significantly inferior to Bandai, but this may be the best shot at getting a MG Akatsuki Gundam
Special Forces Industry 1/100 Sentinel Alloy Skeleton Model Kit
rico soul: hmm....kind of odd that gundamit is putting a $5 preorder deposit with no double deposit discount on this. Hoping that doesn't mean they're going to overcharge for this kit.

Anyways, there is a decent amount of excitement over this kit since it's the first time that a third party pseudo gundam-like design was made for a grunt suit. The resemblance here that jumps out immediately is the GM Sniper II but it feels like there's a bit of Gundam Mk-II, GM Quel, and that Jegan shield in there too.

Gundamit already has all the pictures from the announcement so I'll just add the side by side pic of the visor

- retail price: 168RMB
- release date: before the end of may 2025
- preassembled alloy frame
- poseable hands
- 702 parts total including the preassembled frame, 582 parts used in the actual build
- colored parts are prepainted (blue, red, and green sensor parts)
- pistols are part of the sniper rifle
- display base has a storage compartment
- additional details to be announced later

This is a new brand and the price if pretty decent. The kit looks solid to me and should be nice for fans of grunt suits.
