Qiue Model 1/72 Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Apocalypse Tank Model Kit

▼ I recently received the first glue-free, multi-color assembly model prototype "1/72 Apocalypse Tank - Red 3 Style" under the QiYue Models line-up. The model doesn't have a huge number of parts and assembled nicely. It's one of the few vehicle models from the “Red 3” game, and a great piece for beginners to practice weathering techniques. The release date is yet to be determined.

▼ Parts Overview: Since it's a prototype, it doesn't have formal packaging yet. The model comes with three parts sprues, two in gray and one in dark green.

▼ From the included instruction, the whole assembly process should be quite simple, you could complete basic assembly in about a half hour. Take special care with the parts trees to avoid stress marks. It comes with a decal featuring game insignia, which can be used to dress up the model based on early game artwork.

▼ Assembled Look: "QiYue's" Apocalypse Tank model stayed true to the game design, with no significant modifications. Although the assembly only involves two colors, it displays sufficient detail to avoid looking monotonous. The tracks are divided into a central "meat grinder" style track and two side tracks.

▼ At 1/72 scale, the Apocalypse Tank model is about 17cm in length and about 6cm high, making it a large tank indeed.

▼ The main gun is a 125mm "Dragon" Howitzer that can be adjusted up and down, with a range of movement of approximately 35 degrees.

▼ The tank’s rear reactor, roof hatch, and ventilation details are also quite intricate.

▼ The central hatch can be opened and there are corresponding engraved details inside.

▼ The turret section can rotate 360 degrees. The vehicle’s interior offers ample space for adding additional elements according to personal taste.

▼ Despite the 1/72 scale of the model, it is quite large. It also works great in diorama scenes with 1/24 scale figures.
