▼ The first assembly model, Mandala (sample) from Shozisha x CaesarWorks, has arrived at the editorial office! From promotion to arrival in less than 2 months, it's evident that this wave is well-prepared in terms of speed and strength. Let's take an early look at what surprises there are.

▼ Accessory Overview
As this is a sample, there is no official packaging or plates yet. The official plate count is 20 (including the base + first release bonus), which is a fairly standard MG model specification. The image below shows the overview of the unpainted parts + first release bonus (flame effect).

▼ Mandala Main Body
The main body has a relatively complete skeletal structure, with the chest housing a driver and cockpit, and has linked structures in the knees, legs, and waist joints, comparable to the standards of recent MG models.

▼ In its fully-armored form, the body stands at approximately 21cm tall. The overall design is more full-bodied, with a proper mix of curves and flat surfaces, which is quite rare in recent domestic models. The color scheme uses a unique dark red color, resembling the theme of the "mandala flower" (of course, I would encourage friends with painting skills to change it to blue).

▼ Based on the current sample part performance, the detail sharpness, part quality, and color separation are all very well done. Coupled with the included water decals, the model has a high level of completion even in its unpainted state.

▼ The eyes of the main body are quite fine, and although there are transparent yellow parts, there are no areas that allow light to pass through. I recommend using a gold marker to highlight them and give the head sculpt a more divine look.

▼ Inside the chest and abdomen of the body are cockpit opening and closing structures that can accommodate a driver.

▼ The forearms can be equipped with beam swords, serving as close combat weapons.

▼ The thighs to the feet transition smoothly and naturally, creating a more tense pose when posing the figure.

▼ Both the backpack and side skirt armor have missile launcher opening and closing mechanisms. Combined with the flame effect parts from the first release bonus, they can create a magnificent all-fire attack pose.

▼ The flame effect parts from the first release bonus come in 5 different lengths and can be freely installed.

▼ The stand functions similarly to most commercially available stands, with adjustable angles and extensions, and has locking joints at the axis connection to support the body adequately.

▼ The stand is connected to the body's backpack.

▼ The neck has a two-joint articulation, allowing for a wide range of movement when looking up or down.

▼ The arms feature various standard articulation joints such as raising, elbow bending, and shoulder extension, among others.

▼ The side skirt armor can move outward to 90 degrees, providing more freedom for leg movement.

▼ The waist has multiple points of articulation, allowing for bending, leaning back, and sideways movement. However, there may be a slight backward lean when the bulky backpack is attached.

▼ The knee joint has a double bend, with a linked structure between the knee and thigh. Coupled with the waist joint and the downward pull structure of the hip, achieving a natural single-knee kneeling pose is completely possible.

▼ The ankle can achieve a maximum ground contact of 45 degrees, allowing the heel to touch the back of the foot, creating a more elongated leg line when posing in mid-air stances.

▼ In conclusion, Mandala is a new style attempt from the brand, with outstanding overall design, unpainted completion, and accessory configuration. Despite its unique color design, it still possesses a certain meal replacement quality in terms of its design. With a relatively affordable price, I believe friends who are familiar with this brand would not want to miss out!
