rico soul: Kind of interesting Gundamit split it to a set A and set B here when they're the same thing. As far as I know, the A and B are just different batches with A being the first batch and priced lower as a bonus for early buyers.

Of course here on Gundamit, we don't get those type of discounts and the two are priced the same so....kind of pointless. Anyways, this is still a nice LED set from Kosmos as always and fits all HG Aerial, Aerial Rebuild, and Calibarn so it's a nice little display piece.

rico soul: For anyone wonder, I believe This should be identical to set A. The only difference between A and B as far as I know was the pre-order price since A was the initial batch and priced lower for early adopters.

They're priced the same here on gundamit and who knows if they even ship on different dates so it's probably not much different. I guess just go buy the A set in case it ships earlier.

rico soul: Photo Etch detail kits are always a fantastic way to add lots of details to a kit without too much effort.

This will really make the PF Perf look even more impressive. Should work with the daban KO 1:60 Perfectibility as well so you don't have to hunt down the premium bandai kit.

rico soul: Ok this MotorNuclear model kit is really really interesting. Really feels like they're putting pressure on the model kit market again similar to what they did last year with the amazing AoBing kit.

So this is a grunt / student training suit, and similar to the main suits like the AoBing, CaoRen, and BaiQi, this is still getting some metal joints for the frame. It's also compatible with the equipment and backpacks from the other kits.

However, this is priced at half the retail price of the other kits at a crazy low 99RMB. That means we can probably expect it to be $15-$20 cheaper than those kits so maybe it'll be in the $30 range for US customers. That is insane for a MG sized kit with this much detail. Height is listed at 19cm for reference, and remember, it still comes with metal joints. They're saying 11 metal parts total.

Aesthetically, I love how this is more unique than just spiky MotorNuclear or another Gundam clone. This has so much Chinese culture and character in the design. It's distinctly Chinese with the shield, the sword and that sash. It also comes with three different face masks including a joke wide eyed one from the comics. There are also blank masks included that you can customize yourself.

Definitely an interesting kit and one to keep an eye on. Should be releasing later Q4 2023.

Bobajol: Oh so that's why it has less details (Full Mechanics if we go by Bandai standard?). If it's 30$ for a "FM like" with metal joints then it's very nice.

rico soul: I'm not sure if they've officially said anything to indicate it won't have an inner frame or be more FM like. For now, all we know is it's 460 parts and 11 metal parts. The marketed focus is on posability and articulation though, which should be fantastic with the minimalist design.

rico soul: Finally, I was waiting to see if Gundamit was going to stock this.

For clarification, this is a KO of the Bandai Metal Build Astraea Type-F, with all the expansion shields and avalanche unit. So this is a metal frame figure.

By all accounts that I've seen, the quality of this KO is excellent and is pretty close to just as good as the original Bandai Metal build at a fraction of the cost. Definitely a good buy for Gundam fans.

rico soul: Hmmm, seems like Gundamit hasn't kept up with the latest photo updates for this. Unlike some of the other guys, Vientiane Fusion really likes providing updates on everything. It's nice to see but I also don't want to be just spamming the comments section here with photos everytime they release them lol.

Well, anyways, here's the official finalized prototype grey model photos released at the end of July. They've tweaked the proportions a bit here and I think it looks good. I especially like the stargazer gundam look with just the ring. They've confirmed that this will be the final look and no further changes to the design are planned.

The latest update from them this month was to show a photo of the metal frame and POM parts. This is still just raw metal but will be plated a gunmetal color for the final product.
