rico soul: So Point Factory also confirmed they are making a Wing Zero Ver Ka frame, estimated for release in Q2.

As typical of PF, their promo photo just lays out the raw metal parts in the general layout of the inner frame. We can see they also include the backpack parts for the wings on the outer sides of the image and seems to be using more metal across the board when compared to EW.

EW has always had some of the best fit and finish for Chinese expansion kits so I'd expect their set to be high quality, but I'm still leaning towards Point Factory on this one.

rico soul: I kind of hope Gundamit will clean up this listing sometime but it probably won't happen since this is a fairly old listing. The reviews are negative in part due to the confusion about what people are expecting to get vs what people actually received, and in part maybe due to some initial growing pains with this product.

From the buyers here, what people received is the MS2.0 branded 1/72 Aile Strike Gundam. I've purchased this elsewhere and it's not a bad figure. But this is NOT the old MoShow 1/72 Strike or a McShow or Metal Kingdom or whatever other KO brand you are usually familiar with. MS2.0 is a relatively unknown brand and as far as I know, this was their first product.

So that means all of the yellow background photos are incorrect.

Personally, I think the product itself is fine now, but it needs to be priced properly and not be marketed as a MoShow figure with MoShow prices.

With any of the Chinese unlicensed or KO metal builds, the quality tends to improve slightly over time and this seems to be no different. My copy really doesn't have any major issues other than the waist not being strong enough to reliably hold the backpack. It's perfect when the gundam is on it's own, but it's just barely strong enough to hold the aile striker when balanced properly. So I'd still need to put the action base underneath it for safety when displaying.

There are some minimal paint scrapes and a couple minor nub marks but even Bandai's metal builds don't do much better so the finish on this to me is more than acceptable.


Design wise though, this just really speaks to me and it's almost everything I want in a strike gundam.

This MS2.0 Strike is designed mostly based on the PG Strike and has pretty much all of the same articulation gimmicks. There's a splash of the Metal Build design here as well with things like the skirts. The PG strike design is probably my favorite, with the metal build being a close 2nd. The backpack is full on Metal Build KO which is also pretty awesome since my favorite accessory designs for the strike are the metal build.

MS2.0 is also releasing a Duel Gundam and 1/72 scale KOs of the metal build sword and launcher striker pack. So that's something I'm looking forward to.

rico soul: This Michelangelo really does look pretty badass with that Gundam Heavyarms kind of vibe. Hopefully Heatboys gets their production line back up and running at capacity so they can finish releasing the Leonardo mech and start working on these other ones.

rico soul: Man those gorilla arms and claws are looking fierce. The helmet is a nice silly touch for Raphael.

rico soul: People already have this in China so here's some more pictures of what it looks like built.

rico soul: There where three mecha girls shown off as prototypes by yolopark. Wonder what happened to the third one. That one looked neat.

Think this is an original IP for yolopark. Kind of a departure from the transformers and pacific rim model kits but lets see how this turns out. This Juliet is probably the most tame of the designs they've shown off so far.

rico soul: The whole gorilla arms armament on this mecha girl looks interesting at least. Apparently the lore is something about a hidden death game held on some parallel universe continent?

Dunno but these could be neat. I was hoping to see more about the angel snake lady looking one but guess we'll have to wait for more info. At least we can expect Yolopark to make good model kits based on their transformers stuff, though there's not really that much mechanical detail here.

rico soul: This is a KO of the Bandai Metal Robot Spirit EX-S gundam, which I believe is 1/144 scale. The clamshell is just how these figures are shipped and to avoid paint rubs and damage so it comes partially disassembled. All you see there pretty much goes on the figure. The beam sabers and the INCOM wires are the only effect parts.

There's actually two color variations of this KO, one with a darker blue and red feet (alpha taskforce color), and one with the normal light blue and light blue feet. I guess this listing is for the original color.

EX-S being a heavily armed Gundam from Gundam sentinel is a pretty iconic design and has a lot of weapons. The original MR EX-S never included the transformation gimmick so this KO doesn't either. However, because of the sturdy metal frame, this can actually stand on it's own without much trouble despite the large backpack and top heavy design. Pretty good trade off really.

It's a great little figure for sentinel fans

rico soul: So visually, this KO turned out ok once built but people have some opinions on the face mask. It's not a direct copy of Bandai there. Now as for quality, the runners aren't the greatest. A lot of bad shrinkage and flashing on the runners.

Overall, it's still a solid bootleg of the FAZZ Ver Ka from Bandai and worth picking up if the current price  is ok for you.

rico soul: So here's my experience from building mine, which was from the last reprint but I believe these issues are still present. Step numbers are from the instruction manual.

Head (Step 01-4):
V-Fin is loose. This is actually due to the head camera frame part R1 sticking out too much and interfering with the v-fin. You can either sand that down or just glue the v-fin

Backpack (Step 12-1) See photo:
Part H1-5, the big peg for the wings is molded incorrectly. There's an extra chunk of it that is sticking out that needs to be cut off.

Backpack wings (Step 13-3):
The outer grey part B1-3 doesn't fit well with the main wing so it's easiest to just cut the tabs and glue it instead, but you can make the tabs fit with some sanding. Leave the pegs as that still connects fine.

The rest is practically no issues. Some parts are a bit tight so you may want to enlarge the peg holds but for the most part, the everything is nice and snug and tight to pose.
