Zao Workshop Saint Armor Redeem Model Kit
rico soul: Zao workshop just released a final product photo and I have to say it looks a lot better than the CG renders to me.
We also see a potential box art for this.

Note we see red effect parts on this photo, which is a preorder bonus, rather than the yellow orange effect parts normally. On that topic, the other preorder bonus is UV/blacklight reactive waterslide decals,

I'm still not fully sold on this design but the latest photos is swaying me more in the favorable direction.
Iron Toys 1/100 Xingmie Alloy Frame TC Prototype Testing Machine Model Kit
rico soul: We finally got an update on this:

- Product is in final development phase and with luck, it should be able to meet the targeted August release date.
- Part count is over 700
- Alloy frame and LED unit included
- Display base included
- Color is still not finalized and TieChunag is taking feedback on it. The render photo is only a preliminary design

So yeah this is looking good. Xingmei is translated directly into Star Destoyer lol
As expected this is heavily based on the YJL Amazing Exia design but the head sculpt is slightly modified to skirt around copyright issues with Bandai.

The grey mold looks great. I'm not completely sold on the proposed white and gold color scheme but we'll have to see how it ends up looking on the physical prototype.

rico soul: Ok, I love all these Digimon block kits that are popping up here on Gundamit. These are great for my childhood nostalgia

rico soul: The Lego #75192 Millennium Falcon is such a magnificent brick build Star Wars kit but at $850, it is a massive cost. This 4th party alternative is a much more affordable option.

With altbrick kits, the quality are generally actually very good compared to things like gunpla bootlegs. This is a great value for people who are Lego star wars fans and have the space to tackle this massive kit.

rico soul: These 4th party KOs of Lego really are quite nice. Unlike gunpla where fitting issues can be a problem, the alt-brick stuff generally fit pretty much just as well as the original Lego in my experience.

Goes to show how over priced Lego is I guess.
[Pre-Order] Point Factory CS-031 Shadow Hunters Metal Build Model Kit
rico soul: It's interesting to see Point Factory also jump in on the model kit market.

For those that don't know, these guys primarily make metal frame upgrade kit for various Bandai gunpla kits. They're probably the biggest manufacturer of metal frame kits.

Now as for this concept they've released, I'm kind of mixed on the design. It looks to be a fairly low polygon render so I'm hoping the final product will have more details. The sort of Astray gundam / samurai look with dual great swords like the sword impulse can certainly turn out to be a sick design.

They've already said they're targeting a Q2 2024 release so it's still a ways out.
The target retail price is 198RMB, so it'll probably be around $60 here on Gundamit.
[Pre-Order] Point Factory CS-031 Shadow Hunters Metal Build Model Kit
Keagen00: Am I reading that right or is this a model with metal parts? Cool if true, metal upgrade kits are always super fun to assemble!
rico soul: yes it's a model kit with a metal frame. These guys started off making metal upgrade kits and this will be their first full model kit.
Daban 1/60 PG RX-0-03 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex NT Version Model Kit
rico soul: Good to see the Daban PG Phenex show up here on Gundamit. It's one of their better bootlegs and with this kit being a pbandai kit normally, it's also harder to get the original.
[Pre-Order] Einta Industries 1/72 Level-Ultimate Series No.01 Sky Defender Model Kit
rico soul: This Einta model kit is really quite something. For people don't know, this is a subdivision of YuJiaoLand, a very well know GK manufacturer. Actually they've made the Trident weapon system previously but the romanization of their name was spelled Ainta instead for that one. So similar to Infinite Dimensions with their Genesis, we can expect fairly high quality molds and details. YJL is kind of notorious for having extremely detailed GKs, even in the world of GKs.

This figure certainly shows A LOT of gundam influence. The overall design is obviously Hi-Nu and Strike Freedom, but side skirts are very Strike gundam, and the front skirt even has a bit of Providence in it. The rear skit is also very Freedom gundam, and the wings gives it a bit of a Hi-Nu Vrabe vibe as well. This should fit well with any collection.

Now personally, I do hope there is a Die-Cast frame version of this kit. This thing obviously will have no chance of standing on it own with those small feet and huge backpack.

Also, expect this to be a more advanced kit for builders. this has 1103 parts total which is double or even triple most Bandai MGs. You are afterall getting resin kit aesthetics in a snap build. I will be very very interested in seeing how this turns out.

MadDogBonz: Thanks for the detailed info. Seems like a monster of a model kit indeed! I wonder if there are any more updated info on this since this comment originally posted almost 12 months ago... I can't find much else on my end. But I would love to get my hands onto this one when it does drop!

rico soul: Unfortunately there has been zero updates since this was originally announced at the start of January. Even on their Chinese social media, it's all comments about it being dead and how IN ERA+ is shipping their 3rd model kit already with the Thunderbolt, and YJL still has not released even a single update comment let alone any progress photos. YJL / Einta is established enough and there is still a lot of anticipation for this product that I'm sure we'll get some updates eventually. But who knows what they are actually waiting for.
AniMester 1/7 Azur Lane HMS Formidable Summer Swimwear Ver.
rico soul: Animester needs to stop. They're making too many of these attractive waifu figures too fast. I can't keep up lol
