rico soul: Nice addition to a great kit. For those saying the price is too high, this is pretty much the going price for metal frame upgrades kits.

If you have the painting skills, along with this frame upgrade, you can really make the MG Dynames feel and look like a metal build. Even without painting the dynames, the frame itself still has the nice glint of diecast metal and adds a lot of joint stability to an already solid model kit.

rico soul: So I was looking up a bit more info about this frame kit. Point Factory have been stellar with their frames, having near perfect fit with the original Bandai kits. Fit with Daban is gonna be a bit more questionable but that's more on Daban.

For this Exia one, they're apparently really focusing on tuning the weaker ball joints of original frame to improve overall stability. This is apparently going to be compatible with all Exia kits and variations include repair1, r2, r3, r4, avalanche, and even the Astrea.

Definitely going to keep an eye on this one.

Oh also, supposedly they're offering the HG GTO RX-78-2 frame as a free gift for the first batch purchases of the Exia frame but I don't know if that's going to apply here.

rico soul: This figure is so sick even without knowledge of the source material. The original design from Ling: Incarnation is pretty sick to begin with so it certainly helps. Also worth a watch for people that haven't.

I feel like the articulation on this is more impressive than even MoShow's Progenitor mechs. All of the pistons being articulated just looks so awesome. Seeing all four pistons on the waist move when the torso moves is just a work of art. And then there's the piston and rotating plate on the thigh armor for leg articulation. The total range on motion may not be the highest on this but it's still plenty for poses and actually kind of makes sense as an actual person with a mecha suit.

There's just so much mechanical detail and articulation that I can probably look at this all day.

rico soul: So the review copies of the unicorn frames have all have the same content between teh unicorn, the banshee, and the phenex. The only difference seems to be in the finish.

The Unicorn is an electroplated chrome finish, the Banshee is a black/DLC looking finish, and the Phenex is obviously an electroplated gold finish.

I'm not too sure on the chrome finish for the Unicorn. It seems like a bit too much of a deviation from the original colors which was more of a gunmetal and some blue. However the Banshee and the Phenex both look very good.

The higher price on these frames is likely in part due to the electroplating.

rico soul: So since the only difference between the unicorn, phenex, and this banshee version on the alloy frame is the color, I feel like this may actually be a better option for the unicorn than the unicorn set.

This dark iron / gunmetal kind of color obviously works for banshee but I feel like it works better for the unicorn than the chrome too. Not sure why they decided to go chrome for unicorn but it really looks a bit off. The gunmetal kind of color feels better for a frame.

The kit comes with unicorn mode vfins but not destroy mode which is a bit of a shame I guess. But the ratchet leg joins and the sturdy waist joint still makes this upgrade a solid kit for unicorn fans.

rico soul: For those wondering what the difference between the deluxe and standard versions are, here's the product images that list out all the contents.

The images are a bit confusing though. the product content list seems to imply that the entire set of weapons and accessories only come with the deluxe version. However, the images should that the deluxe additions should only be the alternative real hair sculpted head, some extra hands and the shattered andruil sword.

I think the image makes more sense but either way, the deluxe version is definitely the better looking one with that hair if you can swing the price tag. Honestly, with the price of these figures, they're really marketed towards premium collectors so the deluxe version is probably the way to go.

rico soul: This figure ended up a long more impressive than I thought. The centipede is fricken up to 1.4 meters long when all connected, that's crazy lol.

And of course as seen in the photos, the centipede can be separated and attached on the main figure to act as armor and weapons or whatever you want. The foot and stand are also magnetized similar to MoShow figures.

There's a magnetic switch LED light for the eyes as well which is a nice touch.

rico soul: Here we go, here's the super robot collab with Kidou Sentai Iron Saga. I'd expect this to probably sell way better over in Asia just because people aren't really familiar with the mobile game over here in the US but damn that design is sick.

I'm not typically a super robot fan but MoShow products are quality and I'm curious to see how it'll turn out when fully colored on this figure.

The promo video showing the grey model is pretty neat.

rico soul: Reviews are in from China and while the general consensus seems to be that this EW expansion set is a bit overpriced, the quality is much better than the MJH powered red.

On the left, you can see how the EW mold reproduced the Bandai HIRM molded pattern on the shoulder armor where as the MJH version is smooth. The EW hands are molded together on the runner similar to Bandai where as MJH is individually assembled. What's more interesting is that EW actually added a tab on the palm to help it hold weapons, which even the Bandai version didn't have. Unfortunately though, this tab apparently isn't compatible with the tactical arms sword from the Red Astray Kai.

EW's backpack is a bit better molded and includes adaptors for strike, freedom, unicorn, sinanju and even barbatos. A gorilla arms barbie might be a cool custom.

One last thing is that unlike the promo pics, the gold is painted a champagne gold, rather than plated shiny gold.

Overall, the EW gorilla arms is a nice set, with fit and finish almost comparable to Bandai.
The MJH powered red provides more value since it comes with the bootlegged MJH HIRM Astray body for only about $22USD more at the time of this posting on Gundamit.
