[Coming Soon] Comet Technology 1/100 MSN-06S The Red Comet Model Kit
rico soul: This is essentially the Takumi Sinanju conversion kit, bootlegged and converted into a 1/100 alloy frame model kit for 199RMB. So it should hopefully be under $70 here. Q2 2025 release.

That's a solid price if they can do a decent job copying Takumi.

Now the Takuymi conversion kit is often scalped in the US market for over $100 so this may be the best opportunity for someone to get this design. Like many of the resin kit bootleg to plastic model kits that are being announced lately, this should be interesting to keep an eye on.

This one is kind of a unique situation since Takumi was originally a resin kit priced plastic conversion kit, and IronToys already released a good quality metal frame that is compatible with Takumi and eliminates most of the need to get a MG Sinanju as a base kit.

Either way though, this kit should be more affordable. With the msro already announced at 199RMB, lets hope the final price is fair on gundamit and not compared to Takumi scalper prices.
Threezero ROBO-DOU Tekkaman Blade
rico soul: Awesome looking Tekkaman Blade. Threezero makes quality stuff.
Man I love this, Tekkaman blade was my very first anime as a child.
YuJiao Land 1/100 Upgrade Garage Kit for MG XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam
rico soul: man all these sick resin kits makes me really want to level up my model making skills.

It takes a great deal of effort to properly build a resin kit though, even if the molds are good for YLJ kits. All the fitting, sanding, scribing, assembly, etc before you can even tackle the detailed painting and masking. But the end products are truly spectacular for all that effort.
52Toys MegaBox MB-24 Actaeon
rico soul: Ok I don't really think this can be called "Beast" Box anymore. This one is more of a TruckBox lol.

It still looks as fun to play with and the other BeastBox toys though
Iron Toys 1/100 Alloy Frame Model Kit for MG GN-001 Gundam Exia
rico soul: So yeah looks like people are getting intial review samples of this frame set and the package looks like a great deal.

- Redesigned ankle and waist joints to correct issues with the original MG Exia frame
- Armor compatibility with the Astrea kits as well as all the Exia kits
- Light piping for the head and GN drive
- Magnetic switch LED unit

Important Notes:

- This is designed for the Bandai MG Exia (repairs variations, avalanche, and Astrea). This can work with the HS and GaoGao bootlegs since their inner frames are similar enough to Bandai but this is not compatible with Daban since those are based off the Metal Build and have a different frame. This is also not compatible with the Qan[T] or 00 Raiser of course.

- The kit includes required replacement outer armor pieces in white, red, and trans am red. This means it does NOT include the black colored armor for kits like the Dark Matter or the recirculation Exia so those are not completely compatible color wise.

Overall, this package is turning out to be alot more impressive than I expected. The magnetic light switch chest LED is especially nice. I thought they were just going to give a basic Bandai LED knockoff but what's included is actually an actual LED PCB with different flashing sequences and everything. The part snap fit isn't perfect so it may take a bit of extra work to assemble.

I'll be very interested in seeing how the Point Factory one turns out. The fit and finish historically has been very good with the Point Factory frame kits so maybe it'll turn out to better, but this one from TieChuang is already very impressive, especially with that LED unit and the complete redesign of the legs.
Metal Kingdom 1/100 GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam TNT Version
rico soul: I'm not sure why this TNT (which originally stood for Tamashi Nations Tokyo) is a separate listing from the other MK Strike Gundam.

Technically, it should be called the Heliopolis Rollout Ver. which is just the base Metal Build Strike Gundam. So this is technically NOT the Aile Strike since it doesn't contain the Aile striker pack. However, if you look at the price here on Gundamit, both this TNT version and the regular version are the same price and uses the same original Bandai promo pics for the Heliopolis Rollout Ver.

I'm gonna assume these two are just duplicate listings for the same product.

To Summarize: This should be a copy of the Bandai Metal Build Strike Gundam without any striker packs. It's an action figure of the main suit from Gundam Seed, and contains a sturdy die cast frame. Since MK has printed these for a while now, the QC issues should be mostly resolved and likely the latest prints should be just as good as the Bandai original. (The price however is also not significantly cheaper than the original price though)
MJH 1/100 MG MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame Powered Red HIRM Version Model Kit w/ Decal
rico soul: About time MJH released the HIRM powered red. They're already copied the base HIRM red frame Astray and Astray Noir and the kit is solid enough. Assuming this is like the previous ones where there is no die cast parts, just the HIRM frame converted to a model kit.

With effect wings having the powered red gorilla arms copied, it makes sense to see this pop up now. Should be a nice kit. The HIRM astray frame works really well and I enjoy the MJH Astray Noir that I have.
Effects wings 1/100  Wing Gundam Zero EW Ver.Ka Special metal frame parts group
rico soul: I love all the metal frame upgrades that have been coming out. However, I'm still not sure about how the Effect Wings frames will be. The Wing Zero can certainly benefit from the added weight and stability of a metal frame though, as is the case with any Gundam with a big backpack.

Effect Wings approach to metal frame upgrades seems a bit different than Point Factory, which is who I would consider the benchmark for good Chinese metal frames. Effect Wings however doesn't seem as interested in fully replacing the frame, as can be seen here as well with how the upper leg frame and waist isn't modified. However, they modify weird things like the hand armor and even the arms on the backpack.

Effect Wings is also current the only one that's announced a Wing Zero Ver Ka metal frame so I will definitely be keeping an eye on this and any further information that may pop up. I'll be sure to come back and comment on any findings.
IN ERA+ Ruling Model Kit /w Metal Frame
rico soul: This may be one of the more exciting Chinese gunpla model kits coming announced for me so far.

For those that are unaware, this is being made under a new brand, which is a collaboration between Infinite Dimensions and Supernova/SNAA. Infinite Dimensions is the GK company that makes some very epic GKs and made the Genesis model kit. That had very complex GK designs and while the posability wasn't spectacular, it definitely brought a GK level aesthetics to a snap fit model form.

Supernova, which later disbanded and reformed as SNAA has been making sort of enhanced unlicensed model kits for a long time. They first rose to prominence for me with their line of 1/100 Wing EW gundam kits that were in part based on Bandai's originaly but had modified numerous things to make them more aesthetically fantastic. They were also being the ZA model Zoid kits where they created the 1/72 Liger Murasame, Hayate, and Masamune, and then later did detailed up versions of the HMM Death Stinger and Berserk Fury.

Of course, SNAA also made the Hunt and Kill model kit earlier last year.

I think combining Infinite Dimension's engineering talents with Supernova's model kit experience will make for a very good, balanced product. This RULING internal frame is very reminiscent of the Zero-G Judge and mentions numerous points of articulation in the promo photos. The concept drawing of the figure itself also looks a lot more toned down and more practical than the more GK like designs of the Einta Sky Defender or ID's own Genesis.

This may be the kit I'm most excited for, even more so than the Sky Defender. The back has a striker pack attachment so I can't wait to see what the design looks like with the backpack on. The grey concept model is apparently already in the works and there's rumors of it being shown of in a month or two.

This is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Osomatsu San: I'm excited about this one too! while I have some super nova and they are great, I'm glad this design is not "pointy". On ID side, the Genesis model is a masterpiece! We can't tell much on features and parts based on the promo design but the inner frame certainly looks like an evolution metal frames, with features like side abs articulation, double joint knees and option to lower the legs. Can't wait for more pics and please stay within the $100 range!! :D

rico soul: Yeah I really like how this isn't a kitchen sink type of design. The Sky Defender, as imposing as it is, feel too much like a direct copy of popular gundam suits that it kind of loses it's own identity a bit. Even the Genesis felt like the transformation gimmick was a little forced. Like it fit the final design, but for all the frame complexity, all it accomplished was the typical shield on head wing gundam transformation. I much more prefer a design like this where it strikes a nice balance between feeling like an original suit while invoking some familiar gundam vibes.
Moshow Sengoku Majin GoShogun
rico soul: Oh sick a new line of figures from MoShow.

From their weibo:

2023-2024 New Product Announcement The second bullet

must kill "wave flash"! Authorized by DYNAMIC PLANNING #MOSHOWTOYS# to create classic mecha animation characters to X-level Warring States Demon God General Alloy painting finished product is confirmed to be materialized!

rico soul: By the way, this is a collaboration between MoShow and Kidou Sentai Iron Saga, which is a mecha battler mobile game. Worth checking it out.

rico soul: wait, sorry scratch that. i was confusing it with their third announcement. Well a bit of a sneak peak since it's not listed here on Gundamit yet. Might as well mention it I guess. Their first announcement was a new Progenitor mecha. This Sengoku Majin is the 2nd announcement, and the third announcement is the Kidou Sentai Iron Saga collaboration.
