PsychoJagdDoga: Because the glamor shots are from the Sentinel version. The actual kit doesn't look like this at all. It's very misleading. However, the kit does resemble the original Sentinel design overall, just not these shiny pics. All the metal is just a dark gray, all the gold is a cheese yellow (looked better in the red variant). The eyes are also painted wrong. But despite this it's a fabulous kit because it's an original mold that fits perfect. Solid as a rock forever, great to paint, top coat etc. Minimal sanding on minor pieces. All accessories (except no green piece for the center for the chest getter beam sadly) are included, great posing, great everything. The misleading pics are crap but the kit itself is my absolute favorite and would highly recomment. Great color separation despite the lack of gold (colors are the same with different matte and shine texturing in the plastic). Seriously, if you smack this up with some primer, gun metal / gold / red spray paints and top coat it, you will have an immortal kit. It's just fantastic.
PsychoJagdDoga: The MJH Getter is based on the metal build Sentinel Devolution Getter which also came in original red and Armageddon-inspired black variants. Those figures go for over four hundred dollars now. This kit is a fraction of the price and is an actual model kit with original molding, a full instruction manual, and really shows the ingenuity put into creating such a thing. Calling this a "bootleg" would be an insult. This is art.
However, the glamor shots you see of it are false. What you see on this page and everywhere else is actually pics from the Sentinel original figure. The model kit from MJH does not have gold pieces (it's cheese yellow), the silver and dark gray metal look is also just dark gray plastic. These are very misleading pictures.I posted a better picture here.
However the model kit is 100% solid as a rock, great to paint up, beautifully molded and has all the accessories that the original Sentinel did, but with room for model kit builders to color and sculpt it up as they like. Out-of-box is actually pretty good with matte and sheen textures to the black pieces and the darker gray being serviceable. It's sharp and the head piece will need to be glued on (you can still change out the faces if you do it right). Overall, despite the misleading pics, it really is a masterpiece one of a kind model kit.
TL;DR The pics you'll find are misleading but the kit is VERY worth it, every penny, and the solidity of the kit along with its accessories make it worth putting in the effort to paint it up.
PsychoJagdDoga: THIS is what 3rd party Daban-type kits are for, not common MGs but really expensive or unnecessarily rare P-Bandai releases. This Zaku is really cool but it's just a glorified recolor of the Hawke MG at its base, so selling it for almost $80 on P-Bandai is disgusting.
This is gonna be great for the price! You even get two massive beam battle axes!
PsychoJagdDoga: There exists a Fortune Meow plastic mold of the Dynames GK kit. It works mostly with the metal frame, too.
If we could get a similar plastic mold for this...
